Peter and Loreta Stojanovski opened the Vardar Restaurant in 1979.
Originally from Macedonia, Peter trained as a chef and worked as a Head Chef in nearby Arundel before he and his young wife Loreta took the plunge and opened the Vardar – one of Littlehampton’s first Mediterranean restaurants.
From day one, their desire was to cook and serve great food influenced by their Macedonian heritage and create a friendly, Mediterranean-style atmosphere for their guests.
Forty years on, and many customers have become old friends and a new generation of loyal customers are regularly being introduced to the Vardar by their parents and even grandparents.
Daughter Tina and son-in-law Goran work alongside Peter and Loreta and have brought their own influences to the Vardar, introducing new menus and tasteful modern décor.
What has never changed is the passion shown by the whole team for providing outstanding customer service and deserving the Vardar’s reputation as Littlehampton’s best-loved Mediterranean restaurant.
If you have never visited the Vardar, come along and experience our warm welcome and great food for yourself.
